And the relationships, very convincing.

Lady - I agree; Jules has to work for that balance--but that makes him no different than any other character, regardless of gender. Bottomline, when you love, you have more than just yourself to think about.

Thanks Rosie. *g* I think Lori and I are just in sync--we managed this is 3 or 4 emails, LOL. Stopping only in the interest of length--although scrolling down to the comments...and wow, it's still pretty long. ItF just confused me. I had no idea what was going on and never got on board with the main couple. :(

As for DoN, the thing I liked about it was that it was MORE relationship driven. I missed that in the last few books.

On to your comment about Jules...in some ways I agree with what you said, because he is making more "human" errors. I don't think it has anything to do with him being gay though, because I notice this in a lot of books where the hero or heroine is in a high-pressure job like the CIA and once they get their sig/other, they seem to lose a bit of themselves. It's just a smidge annoying.

All in all though, I did enjoy this one a lot. Yay! :DLady of the Reviewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13718827496227106286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18010424.post-76676038697459254972009-02-17T22:03:00.000-05:002009-02-17T22:03:00.000-05:00Collette, I loved the pairings. My distaste for Sophia aside, LOL.Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08250972350798310498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18010424.post-69172000075516996482009-02-17T20:34:00.000-05:002009-02-17T20:34:00.000-05:00Oh thank you. I've been apprehensive about reading it because of all the complaining about the relationships. Thanks for giving me a different perspective. Of course, now I'll probably have to stay up all night. ;-)Collettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11118664654134825732noreply@blogger.com
